Greetings from the Symposium Chair

It is my pleasure to welcome visitors to the website of the International Symposium for the 70th Anniversary of the Tohoku Branch of the Chemical Society of Japan. The Tohoku Branch will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its foundation this year. Nine chemistry-related academic societies of the Tohoku region have joined together to organize this international symposium that will be held from Sept. 28th to 30th, 2013. The main objectives of the symposium are to communicate the latest ideas on fundamental and applied research related to chemistry and chemical education. To celebrate our 70th Anniversary, we will have lectures from internationally distinguished researchers and educators, including two Nobel Laureates. We are expecting more than 1000 participants from all over the world.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Sendai.
